The Corporate Accounting team is a critical part of the company’s month-end close process. Block is hiring an Accountant who will be an integral part of our growing team. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.You Will:
Prepare and review month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedulesPerform actual vs actual account analyses and present findings to the CAO and other senior leadershipCollaborate with various departments on accruals and other monthly close areasContinuously improve business processes, systems, and documentation as part of SOX readiness and testingSupport quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditorsDrive change in the organization through participation in special projects and ad hoc analysesQualifications
2+ years of Public Accounting or Industry experiencePrevious role(s) should include audit or corporate accountingStrong interest in technology / knowledge of the industryAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with BlackLine a plusExperience with Oracle Cloud or other ERP systems a plusAdditional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
