Strategic Finance Associate

We are looking to hire the first associate to our Strategic Finance Team. You will be responsible for financial forecasting, business partnering, and analysis to drive data-driven decision-making. You will help build and update the corporate financial model and develop a strategy to shape our business. As an early member of the strategic finance team, you will help build the foundations of the finance organization, be a thought leader to our business partners, and have frequent interaction with company leadership.Responsibilities

Distill complex financial data into actionable information, build and maintain financial models, analyze new trends and initiatives, and perform ad-hoc modeling and analysis as requiredUpdate, maintain, and improve the forecasting accuracy of the corporate financial modelSupport business partners as a financial resource, including projects such as ad hoc modeling, ROI analyses, and general budget variance analysisAssist with board presentations, investor communication, executive reporting, and fundraising as necessaryBuild forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes, and financial systems infrastructureEnsure reporting accuracy before each month’s final close with accounting stakeholdersSupport annual planning and quarterly budgeting processAdvise executives on financial performance, KPIs, and identify potential areas of improvementDesired Skills and Experience

2+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or FP&A in a high-growth startupStrong understanding of the three financial statements and how business decisions impact eachHighly organized and proven track record of handling multiple projects simultaneouslyA forward-thinking, creative, and intellectually curious mindset that can accelerate the team’s potentialProven ability to build trusting relationships with business partners and present to executivesA thoughtful work style that can dive deep into the numbers, but also think about the bigger pictureExperience working with financial planning software and ERP systems such as Anaplan or NetsuiteExceptional proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets; comfort with large datasetsExperience with business intelligence tools, and knowledge of SQL or another analytics language/tool is a plusAbout CloudTrucks
