This position is responsible for making sure employees are paid accurately and on time for their clients and manages payroll functions, including calculating employee paychecks, working hours, withholding taxes, and any other deductions, as well as maintaining accurate payroll records for businesses, governments, and nonprofit organizations.
Responsibilities
Process payroll for employees in the organizationMaintain personnel database regarding salariesManage organization budget and expensesReport to department supervisor regarding daily activities and issuesWork directly with clients to achieve organization goals as requiredAddress and resolve employee complaints relating to the payroll systemWork with company database programs to process payrollPrepare reports to relevant departments about payroll, company budget and expense
Qualifications
Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferredProven experience in a fast-paced environment requiredStrong knowledge of tax and wage laws preferred but not requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applicationsExceptional multitasking and organizational skillsAble to work effectively with minimal supervisionBilingual in English and JapaneseStrong with numbersTeam work
