AI and Data Governance Legal Counsel

NVIDIA is looking for an expert in AI and Data Governance to help support and drive our AI- and data-related compliance functions. You will be reporting to the Director of Data Governance and Privacy in our legal department, helping to develop our AI Governance function, and working closely with the entire legal team.
Our highly respected legal team provides innovative legal solutions to help make NVIDIA the world leader in high performance computing. We help make possible the realistic simulation of human imagination in video games and films, and the remarkable simulation of human intelligence in deep learning, autonomous vehicles, and robotics. The work we do impacts the most consequential mega-trends in technology today. You will be asked to continuously learn and develop your legal skills, and you will be responsible for providing legal support on a wide variety of issues. What You’ll Be DoingHelping develop compliance programs for AI, data governance, and privacy.Consulting with our business partners on emerging regulations covering artificial intelligence, algorithmic transparency, and privacy.Tracking new legal developments in AI, data governance, and privacy.Partnering with other members of the legal team on assorted AI and data governance related matters, such as drafting guidelines and developing training materials.Developing subject matter expertise for specific regulatory areas such as the forthcoming U.S. federal agency regulations and the EU AI Act.What We Need To SeeJ.D. degree with a record of strong academic performance.5+ years of experience.Subject matter expertise in artificial intelligence, intellectual property, privacy, or cybersecurity.A license to practice law in California required.Extraordinary communication and project management skills, including writing, presentation, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.Ways To Stand Out From The CrowdExperience in the high-tech industry and familiarity with computer systems, architectures, programming, or Artificial Intelligence.History of writing or public presentations on complex legal material.Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and technology.NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. The base salary range is 144,000 USD - 224,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
