Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer.

Codexis is a leading enzyme engineering company leveraging its proprietary CodeEvolver® technology platform to discover, develop and enhance novel, high-performance enzymes and other classes of proteins. Codexis enzymes solve for real-world challenges associated with small molecule pharmaceuticals manufacturing and nucleic acid synthesis. The Company is currently developing its proprietary ECO Synthesis™ platform to enable the scaled manufacture of RNAi therapeutics through an enzymatic route. About the Opportunity:

The Full-Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and providing support to an Oracle based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The candidate will work closely with the development team and end users (both external and internal) to obtain specifications around each development project and communicate its progress. The candidate will be expected to ensure that the software development life cycle and security policies are being followed. The position is within the computational biology department based in Redwood City, Ca. This is a hybrid role which will require the candidate to be on-site for at least 3 days a week.

Managing and Oracle databaseDevelop a LIMS user interface using ReactBuild REST APIsUse of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence to record software progress and documentationObtain specification for software request from end users and communicate to the development teamUse of git Java build and integration environmentsDevelop in Java, Python, SQL, bash, and JavaScriptThe essential requirements of the job include:

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related scientific discipline.At least 4 years of industrial experience working as a full-stack engineer.At least 2 years experience working on a LIMS system.Additional experience that would be valuable for this role includes:

Experience communicating with ScientistsExposure to Bioinformatics, Biology, or similar fieldsCODEXIS PAY TRANSPARENCY: The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Redwood City is $138,500 to $162,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Codexis is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
