Job Responsibilities:

Understand the business end-to-end.

Understand the Application Architecture.

Understand the project timelines and deadlines.

CI-CD engineering role focused on modernizing existing delivery pipelines. This individual will be jointly responsible for the definition, engineering and operationalization of new CI-CD pipelines that will be leveraged by multiple software delivery teams.

This role requires working with engineering and software delivery teams, and subject matter experts to understand pipeline requirements and communicate newly curated patterns.

Once new patterns are realized, work with teams on migration of existing pipelines.

Setting up tools and required infrastructure.

Responsible for low level design with the team.

Ensure Code Quality and Deliverables.

Lead the team and deliverables -Prioritize work with stakeholders.

Plan and prepare to support PI planning Events.

Work breakdown by stories for development.

Accurate work Estimation and commitment to timelines and deadlines.

Identify dependencies and communicate.

Skills and Experience Required:

Required:

5+ years’ experience with AWS services:

Networking: VPC / Subnets / Route Tables / VPG / Security Groups

Compute: EC2 / Autoscaling / Load Balancers

Database: RDS / Aurora / Dynamo

Kubernetes: EKS / ECR

Other: SQS / SNS / S3 / IAM / Elastic Beanstalk / CloudFront / CloudWatch / OpsGenie

Ability to run and modify Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts in Terraform or CloudFormation

Knowledge debugging containers running in a Kubernetes cluster.

Linux system administration – ability to manage and troubleshoot Linux systems and services.

Experience working with third-party vendors.

8+ years of relevant, broad engineering experience is required.

Able to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team

Demonstrate an obsessive desire to automate as much as possible.

Able to participate in on-call rotation.

Desired:

Monitoring Applications: Splunk, Dynatrace

Nginx: basic understanding of Nginx configurations and reverse proxies

Networking: solid understanding of routing and networking concepts

Agile development environment

Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery – Jenkins deployments and pipelines

Collaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, ServiceNow

Containerization technologies such as Docker, Pivotal

Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet

Education

Bachelor’s degree required; relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
