Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.Experience with ML Accelerators (e.g. having worked for another company who built ML chips).Experience with simulators, especially hardware simulators.Hardware experience (e.g., how chips are built, RTL/VHDL/Verilog, interfaces (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet)).Experience with performance analysis and debugging, improving performance of distributed systems.Experience with compiler flows and software involved in translating a high-level language (e.g. TensorFlow) to hardware instructions.About the job

Work together with teams across the full ML hardware/software stack, ML models, compilers, ML systems, TPU accelerators, to develop a thorough understanding of the performance/cost trade-offs within a vast ML system design space.Help develop the TPU/GPU performance methodology, enabling unified performance/TCO projection of future ML systems across Google (e.g., C++ and Python development).Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
