Join our team as we help shape the future.Group Benefits Analytic Consulting team is seeking an inventive Sr Business Consultant to support Customer Insights for a block of Group Benefits Hospitals.
As a member of Analytic Consulting, this highly visible role combines business and analytic skills and involves interaction with a multitude of business customers, external customers, and a wide variety of Hartford personnel at all levels across Group Benefits and Claims. This role provides dedicated support to a specific block of Group Benefits policies, and will provide deep analytics, creating and delivering presentations on our Claim Analytic strategy and actionable insights specific to hospitals. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate technical data and analytic results to a diverse audience. This individual will bring with them a creative solution design approach to metric development and discovery, taking a lead position in providing innovative solutions without having the box top for directions, and must have a strong understanding of data visualization software as well as a foundational knowledge of claims data and claim process.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (Add locations) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities:
Lead development of advanced claim monitoring metrics for customer-specific reporting, including deep dive analysis into emerging trends and derive new business insightsDevelop storyboards and presentations on analytic insights, explaining results and recommendations to key internal business partners and external customers.Understand the relationship between the data and the business process, and employ skills to translate business needs into functional technical requirementsCreate and follow a strategic plan and report progress to managementQualifications:
Claim data experience in Leave and Disability strongly preferredDemonstrated strong data analytic skills and familiarity with key tools (Tableau Desktop)Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting effectivelyDemonstrated strong communication skills and ability to build strong partnerships (essential to success for this role), experience facing external customers preferred.Excellent discovery skills to translate business needs into functional technical requirementsDocumented track record of creating innovative data solutions; passion for delivering outcomesResults oriented with the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities when necessaryClaims DNA badges (if currently in the claims organization) desired: core and intermediate data, core innovation, core communication.Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$88,150 - $132,225
