Supervisory Pharmacist

DutiesAssists the Chief Pharmacist in development and updating of Pharmacy policies and procedures.Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Outpatient Pharmacy Services.Clinical duties are those which involve risk to patient life, safety, health or well-being and are performed on a regular basis.Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepares schedules for completion of work.Requirements Conditions of Employment Must pass pre-employment examination. Qualifying professional pharmacy experience may involve, but is not limited to:Dispensing medications prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and providing information to health practitioners and patients about proper usage of medications and side effects;Evaluating medication use patterns and outcomes for patients in hospitals or managed care organizations;Performing administrative, consultative, or staff advisory work for a medical facility's pharmacy program;Planning, monitoring and evaluating medication programs or regimens;Establishing medication-handling procedures for the storage and preservation of medications;Researching medical literature and/or clinical medication information to provide accurate responses to inquiries; and/orMaintaining all medication records required by law. Examples of duties include: Demonstrated professional experience in directing a hospital or clinic pharmacy program which includes experience in supervising staff, directing all activities in pharmacy, developing and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures, experience in working with accreditation standards and performance improvement activities.You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
