Emergency Medicine Physicians Needed in Arkadelphia, AR

Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia (BHMC-A), Arkansas is seeking to find physicians to staff its Emergency Medicine Department. BHMC-A is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located adjacent to Interstate 30 and is 65 miles southwest of Little Rock. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 and is a Level IV trauma center. This 10-bed facility experiences over 12,000 visits per year and is stroke-ready certified.

Candidates must be either Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine. ATLS and ACLS, are required. Third-year residents in the designated specialties are encouraged to inquire. 

The compensation structure will be a professional services/1099 agreement. Slot malpractice coverage will be provided.

BHMC-A is part of Baptist Health, Arkansas largest hospital system which includes 11 hospitals, approximately 11,000 employees, and over 100 clinics.  

Arkadelphia, with a population of just under 11,000, is conveniently located adjacent to the Ouachita and Caddo Rivers, which are popular destinations for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. DeGray Lake and Degray Lake Resort State Park are just minutes from the hospital. Arkadelphia is also home to two universities: Henderson State University and Ouachita Baptist University, with combined enrollments of around 5,000 students.
