You will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies, within a world class team and build the platform that is directly used by our customers to change the world every day.Here, you will build the cloud and not merely use it.You will be responsible for deploying and operating a broad range of infrastructure technologies and hardware systems. You’ll lead projects to help evolve our services and participate in the architectural design of solutions. We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about Linux, Open Source and networking. Someone with a deep understanding of software-hardware interactions that obsesses about low-level Linux configurations and optimizations.Your role is to build infrastructure-as-code software and tools and use a GitOps approach to interacting and maintaining every aspect of our platform.A Day in the Life:You will configure and automate on-premises Linux-based systems at scale using infrastructure-as-code practicesYou will extend open source tools to integrate distinct systemsYou will be responsible for the full lifecycle of physical systems including deployments, operations, triage and troubleshootingLead the design and build for our compute, storage and networking practicesWork with Product and Business Development teams to inform and specify our hardware needsYou Will Thrive In This Role If:Deep experience and fluency with Linux environmentsExperience with with on-premises Data Center operations and technologies (power distribution units, structured cabling, rack design)Experience building with modern infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and TerraformExperience with TCP/IP configurations and troubleshooting on Linux systemsExperience writing code to automate infrastructure management tasks with at least one language (Go, Python, Bash or similar)10+ years of infrastructure management experience including bare metal server management, deployments, and OS provisioning using tools such as Packer, Kickstart, MaaS10+ years of experience contributing to architecture, design reliability and scaling of data center infrastructure systemsFamiliarity with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such NetboxExperience with CI/CD practices and build systems, such as GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, GitHub ActionsExperience with configuring and maintaining observability stacks: logging, monitoring and alerting systems and tools such as syslog, fluentd, Prometheus, AlertManager, and GrafanaMust be able to pass a background checkEmbody the Company valuesBenefits:Hybrid work scheduleIndustry competitive payRestricted Stock Units in a fast growing, well-funded technology companyHealth insurance package options that include HDHP and PPO, vision, and dental for you and your dependentsPaid Parental LeavePaid life insurance, short-term and long-term disabilityTeladocPet-friendly offices401(k) with a 100% match up to 4% of salaryUnlimited time offCell phone reimbursementTuition reimbursementSubscription to the Calm appCompany paid commuter benefit; $100 per monthCompensation Range:Base compensation will start at $250,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers.
