Our unique expertise and capabilities in technology, data science and healthcare enable the entire healthcare ecosystem to drive better health outcomes.DescriptionAs a Product Manager on the Workbench team, you’ll join a highly cross-functional team to lead product initiatives across multiple organizations in the development and commercialization of Verily Workbench, which transforms biomedical research by making the world’s most scientifically valuable data discoverable, accessible, and analyzable. We are building a data ecosystem that brings together the most valuable data with the most powerful tools – you’ll play a critical role in building that ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesDefine the vision and strategy. This includes understanding the needs of the market and target customers, the competitive landscape, alignment of Workbench throughout Verily’s portfolio, and the business viability of the product offering.Gather and prioritize user needs. This involves working with our customers, external partners, and internal stakeholders like UX researchers, designers, scientists, clinicians and engineers to understand the features and functionality that are most important to users.Create and manage the product roadmap. This involves defining the features and functionality that will be delivered in each release, as well as the timeline for delivery.Work with a highly cross-functional team to develop, launch, and take the product to market. This involves working with our commercial teams on product positioning and pricing, our legal, quality & regulatory teams on privacy and compliance, and our security teams on information security.Measure and analyze product performance. This involves collecting data on user usage, customer satisfaction, and other metrics to assess the success of the product.Minimum QualificationsScientific and/or technical background. Advanced degree in science, mathematics or engineering or 5+ years experience in product development in scientific domains.5+ years experience as a Product Manager developing solutions for enterprise businesses (B2B), preferably as a key member in early-stage companies with responsibilities to achieve product revenue goals.Experience with bioinformatics, specifically analysis of multi-modal datasets including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, single-cell, imaging/digital pathology, wearable and passive sensors.Experience with developing solutions using public cloud infrastructure, e.g. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Azure.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degrees (e.g. MS, MPH, MBA, PhD, MD, or other graduate degree) in a scientific and/or technical field.Experience with scientific research and analysis tools like Jupyter, SAS, RStudio, VSCode as well as cloud-native services like BigQuery, Dataproc, Redshift, Sagemaker, Synapse.Experience with developing products in regulated environments like clinical research and healthcare (HIPAA, HITRUST, 21 CFR Part 11), and data privacy and protection regulations like GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST 800.53.Experience with machine learning, model development, MLOps, deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $152,000 - $242,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
