Position Description
POSITION SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIESWork in a safe manner, recognize and correct Service Center hazards and comply with WBC safety requirementsServe as a safe and productive member of the Asset GroupConfer with Service Center Supervisor / review work ordersInspect equipment to determine service / repair needsPerform routine maintenance services and repairs for on-road vehicles, small tools (electric and gas) and light / heavy equipment ranging from portable generators to 40,000-pound track excavatorsTest components / systems utilizing analyzers, gauges and computerized diagnostic devicesDisassemble units and inspect parts for wear / repairFollow manufacturer’s documents and WBC checklists to ensure equipment is thoroughly examined and maintainedTest-drive to verify equipment is functioning properly after maintenance / repair is complete to ensure the piece does not return “problem not fixed.”Equipment / Tool Tag - complete the white tab upon completion of the workDaily Equipment Maintenance / Safety Inspection Checklist – include a blank checklist in all equipment with checklist tubes or cabs upon completion of the workDocument service recordsWeldingClean / wash equipmentBe available for emergency calls outside normal business hoursPerform all other tasks and duties as assignedPerform all assigned roles, responsibilities, and related work processes / tasks in the safest possible manner. Ensure that a safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all co-workers, customers, clients, suppliers, etc. at all timesPM20
Position RequirementsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma / GED – requiredAutomotive maintenance training / experience – requiredSmall tools (electric and gas) training / experience - requiredLight / heavy equipment training / experience - requiredBasic computer skills (typing, email, Internet) – required
