JOB SUMMARY:

The Electrical Apprentice/Journeyman will be responsible for installing the standard and more complex conduit and electrical components into our generator units. Performs multiple routine or semi-complex tasks and troubleshoots more complex tasks with independent exercise of judgment.

Read and interpret blueprints to determine placement of wire, unassisted.Pull wire through conduit and make ground connections.Install complex conduit configurations per blueprint specification using appropriate tools.Install wire for complex configurations.Mount electrical boxes, fixtures, and enclosures.Stock and set up electrical wire carts.Install and cover receptacles and switches.Properly perform wiring insulation resistance, continuity, and point-to-point terminations checks.Performs operational checks to ensure quality and employee proficiency.Keeps inventory of parts in the area.Trained and proficient in the National Electrical Code.Performs other tasks as assigned by crew leader or supervisor.Other job-related responsibilities as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED is required.A degree in industrial electricity or training in electrical is required (Apprentice License or Journeyman License)Prior electrical experience is required.Numerical proficiency is required for reading a tape measure and blueprint specifications.Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated math skills are needed to be successful in this role.Must demonstrate ability to perform multiple or semi-complex tasks with limited supervision with the ability to exercise good judgment.Requires stooping and crouching.Working for extended periods of time in a standing position while installing equipment.Requires a high degree of attention to detail.Wearing PPE gear, such as protective eyewear and steel-toed boots (required)Experience working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Safely perform tasks in an efficient and productive and timely manner.Follow verbal and written instructions able to ask for clarification when neededDexterity to regularly pick up objects with fingers such as nuts, bolts, screws, and washers.Skilled at managing time independently with little supervisionStrength to lift and exert a force up to 50 pounds when transporting materials.Ability to ascend, descend, and work from a ladder.Used to working in confined spaces while installing equipment.Must adhere to safety protocols and maintain a culture of safety and
