The Lusardi Construction Internship Program is designed to engage undergraduate and postgraduate college students in the practical application of general construction and technical skills. A Project Engineer (PE) Intern will learn to read blueprints, understand the trades and the boundaries of each trade, learn how things are built, and experience the bid process. During your PE Internship you will learn about RFI's, submittals, estimating (quantity takeoffs and pricing), change orders, and the relationships between the entire project team. Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications and logsPrepare document distributions to subcontractorsAssist with maintenance and updating of project schedulesAssist with determining weekly labor production quantitiesAssist with processing submittalsAssist with processing RFI’sMaintain RFI logsInput data for labor cost reports and field quantity surveysComplete other responsibilities as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:
Have a willingness to work hardHave a desire to be part of a cohesive teamHave a passion for constructionSupport APM and/or PM as necessarySupport Preconstruction with bid processCommit to make yourself and Lusardi Construction betterEducation and Experience:
Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree completed or in progress, or equivalent experienceEffective written and verbal English language communication skillsAbility to use independent judgment; self-startingProficiency in MS OfficeThe pay range for this position of employment is expected to be between $22.00/hour and $28.00/hour. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
