TechnicalProject Manager

Zeno is seeking a highly motivated Technical Project Manager to support the mission-oriented efforts of developing and bringing to market Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) technologies. In this role you will:

Initiate project management framework and architecture for Zeno’s first-of-a-kind RPS projectsCoordinate multi-year schedule and cost inputs from Zeno stakeholders, including government agencies, the U.S. Department of Energy, National Labs, and contractorsEnsure sound project management methodology is applied for control of the projects by implementing and enforcing baseline schedule and costs

Manage, evaluate and make recommendations to the VP of Engineering for proposed schedule and cost baseline change control requestsResponsible for monitoring and ensuring Zeno’s, contractors’ and National Labs’ performance meets the baseline schedule and cost requirementsSupport procurement activities such as procurement document development, acquisition, execution, and contract close outProvide high-level technical input and recommendations from a project management perspective on key hardware design decisionsAssist with the development and refinement of Zeno project management best practices, policies and procedures

Key Qualifications and Skills

B.S. or higher in an engineering discipline from accredited university with > 6 years of engineering management or project management experience.Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing schedules and costs in an aerospace or nuclear environmentStrong understanding of baseline change control and configuration managementProject Management Professional certification is desiredMS Project or equivalent schedule management software experience requiredAtlassian product suite (i.e. Confluence and Jira) experience strongly preferredExperience managing a first-of-a-kind or engineering design project strongly preferredCandidate must be a self-starter and possess ability to coordinate and lead a project management effort with minimal directionAble to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in an uncertain environmentMust have excellent written and oral communication skills

Job Functions

Vernon/Chinatown) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, remote work is optional on Mondays and Fridays.Travel: Travel is required, 10%-15%

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary band for this position is $125,000-175,000. The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and other business considerations.
