What You’ll Do

Spotter’s mission is to give creators access to tools, knowledge, community, and capital so their creativity can change the world. The Product Analytics Lead plays a vital role in that mission by creating magical experiences for our funded creators. You will work closely with our Product team to surface key insights about user behavior, user journey, churn, and product usage to drive continuous improvement and shape the future of Spotter’s game-changing creator tools.

This position is based in our Culver City HQ.

Responsibilities

Become an expert user of our product(s) and the top use cases of our creator customersPartner closely with product teams to establish measurement tools, document and communicate measurement logic, and democratize availability of product performance dataBecome our in-house expert in understanding the correlations between product metrics, operating metrics and financial metrics, and seeking to understand causation and leversDevelop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reporting tools to track product performance, monitor key metrics, communicate insights and give recommendations to stakeholdersConstantly monitor these metrics, investigating anomalies, coming up with theories and sharing insights and findingPartner with product and engineering to design measurement into new feature releases during requirements stage, prep and QA reports prior to launch, and follow up after launchDevelop product learning goals, design multivariate tests, and synthesize analytical results into practical recommendations that inform key business decisionsDrive data-driven decision-making processes, advocating for the use of analytics and empirical evidence in product decision-making across the companyLead at multiple levels - as a thought partner to product leaders and executive stakeholders, as an analytics manager when working with your team, and as an individual contributor on key projectsMentor and coach analysts in developing impactful insights and guide stakeholders in usage of reporting and analytics

Who You Are

BS in a technical or math-oriented discipline6 - 10 years of work experience in analytical/quantitative rolesExperience in product and marketing analytics for SaaS modelsExtensive experience designing, conducting, and analyzing results from multivariate testsExtensive knowledge of and experience with product or web analytics tools (Heap, Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, etc.)Extensive knowledge and experience in digital marketing attributionDeep empathy for our creators and desire to solve problems with a creator-first mentalityStrong communication and storytelling skills for technical and non-technical audiencesExpert level proficiency using SQL and / or Python / R for ad-hoc analysisProficient in PowerPoint and / or Google SlidesAbility to troubleshoot data-related issues

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Culver City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $100-$500K salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual discretionary bonus and equity.
