HYBRID Senior Consultant - Civil or Environmental Engineer or Environmental ScientistWestford, MAJoining RambollAs our new Senior Consultant, you will be working closely with Project Managers and other Consultants on ecology projects as well as the opportunity to be involved in a variety of environmental investigation/remediation, environmental compliance, health and safety, sustainability, and due diligence projects within our broad Environment and Health practice. For this role, we believe your starting point is:At least a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental engineering or Environmental Scientist and 4-8 years experience in the planning and design of Stormwater Management projects, including project analysis and evaluation studies.Professional Engineer or other professional certification preferred but not required.The physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. In certain situations, this position may expose the candidate to extremes in weather (hot/cold); high noise levels, to hazards such as a proximity to moving machine parts and moving vehicles, electrical current and exposure to chemicals. Employees may be required to take specific training and to wear PPE on some occasions.Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and interpersonal skillsStrong work ethic and professional attitudeProactive on assignments and demonstrate initiativeValid driver’s license requiredKnowledge of hydrology and hydraulics preferredExperience in any of the following: stormwater management, stormwater pollution prevention plan development, any phase of civil design, project planning, calculations, report writing,Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)OSHA 40 certification is a plusAbility to work well in a team environment with a willingness to follow detailed instructions and learn new skillsTasks and ResponsibilitiesAssisting in the design and permitting efforts for a variety of industrial stormwater and water resourcesMonitoring the construction phase of projectsSupporting stormwater management programsConducting sampling and inspection events (stormwater, wastewater) in various site settingsPerforming engineering calculationsAssisting senior staff with the preparation of technical reports, including compiling analytical dataConducting travel/field work (daytime and overnight, usually in U.S.)Working with a team of water resources engineers and environmental scientistsWelcome to our Water divisionAt Ramboll, a global team of bright water consultants support the development of sustainable societies, working with water projects on a global scale.
