As a Python/SQL Programmer you will:
As a SQL Developer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring data quality, integrity, and security within the Independence Data Warehouse. Your expertise in SQL and Python will be essential for connecting to diverse data sources and validating information. Additionally, you'll work closely with Gretel to enhance data privacy and generate synthetic data for testing and analysis.
Key responsibilities:
Data Source Connection and Validation:Connect to the Independence data warehouse using SQL Queries and Python Scripts.Extract data from various tables or execute custom SQL queries to retrieve relevant information.Collaborate with Gretel to validate data accuracy and consistency.Data Quality Assurance:Assess the quality of incoming data, identifying anomalies, inconsistencies and missing Values.Implement data validation rules and ensure adherence to data standards.Collaborate with the data engineers and data scientists to improve data quality.Synthetic Data Generation
:Leverage Gretel's synthetic data evaluation tools to create high-quality synthetic datasets.Evaluate the synthetic data using metrics such as Synthetic Data Quality Scores (SQS) and Privacy Protection Levels (PPL)Use Python to integrate synthetic data into your data pipeline.Database Optimization and Performance:Optimize SQL queries for efficiency and performance.Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose enhancements.Security and Compliance:
Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Required Skills:SQL Proficiency
:
Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries.Knowledge of database design, normalization, and indexing.
Python Skills
:
Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.Familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas.
Data Warehousing
:
Understanding of data warehousing concepts.Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Collaboration and Communication
:
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly.
Problem-Solving
:
Analytical mindset to troubleshoot data-related issues.Proactive problem-solving approach.
Collaboration with Gretel:
Your collaboration with Gretel will involve using their data warehouse connectors (e.g., Google BigQuery) to extract data from the Independence Data Warehouse. Gretel's synthetic data evaluation tools will help you assess data quality and generate synthetic datasets for testing and analysis. $ 59,000 - $ 69,000 Per Year*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
