POSITION SUMMARY:
As Sr. Business Account Manager, you will be responsible for expanding and increasing revenue within pharmaceutical\/biotech clients and prospects in the East Coast market. The Sr. Business Account Manager is charged with relationship development and promotional efforts within existing and new accounts in the territory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Education:
Engages with clients to understand their key data challenges and goals and in conjunction with technical colleagues at Rancho (curators, computational biologists and data scientists) develops solutions\/services to meet their needs;Becomes proficient at representing the various domains of expertise, and emerging products within Rancho to help in identifying new opportunities.Effectively builds rapport with clients; develops a methodical approach toward calls and demonstrates flexibility to adapt approach based upon opportunities and insights;Identify opportunities through existing clients and organic leads to develop a robust pipeline of qualified leadsMaintain active account and pipeline management via SFDC CRMContribute to the development and execution of customer account plans for target accounts to deliver maximum impact around opportunities and business goalsKeep abreast of customer and healthcare industry trends. Initiates development actions to constantly adapt and grow capabilities to increase impact with clients;Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature and workshops; EXPERIENCE\/TRAINING Experience:5+ years in a sales\/business development role in the Life Sciences industry including Biology, Chemistry, Medical Sciences, or other related field;Goal-oriented individual with a strong desire to be in promotional role; have core skills of customer service orientation, initiative, planning and follow up, work management, and judgment\/problem solving;Demonstrates change agility; accountability; takes\/seeks feedback; the ability to be connected to others; remote collaboration with cross-functional internal teamsMarket place and business acumen, stakeholder management; and understanding the business prioritiesExcellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonable established timelines;Excellent communication skills, oral and written, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of scientists, management and clients;
Bachelors degree (or higher) in Life Sciences is preferred, including Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or other related field

Work Location: This position is a remote position on the East Coast; whereas the employee can work from home in a quiet location with a dedicated space to locate the work desk.
Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time ; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 10 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment (home based) is usually low to moderate. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
