Donor Recognition Coordinator

Reports to

Development Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Works within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to recognize and engage donors on a regular basis. Operates as the main source of contact for donors including sending receipts and acknowledgements, notifications about fundraising campaigns and performances, and in general encourages more donor activity.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Acknowledges first time donors and large gifts giving appreciation on behalf of the organization.

Sends donor receipts annually to all donors.

Contacts donors to encourage their giving to raise their level on the Rainbow Donors chart.

Helps ensure accuracy of donor records and updates profile when contacting donors.

Notifies other staff when donors should receive a leader acknowledgement.

Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values.

Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Prefer experience acknowledging donations for a nonprofit or writing donor marketing communication.

Proven interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency with electronic spreadsheet and word processing applications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work involves talking and hearing; using hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
