The Social Media Associate works closely with the Social Media Manager and Digital Marketing Director to implement digital marketing strategies through paid and organic social media channels. This role requires a creative and tech-savvy individual, who is excited about social media trends, innovative and creative content, and ultimately delivering impressive results for clients. Appreciation, if not passion, for sports, recreation, and wellness is not required, but preferred.Required Skills and Experience:Digital marketer with 3-5 years of social media marketing experience, preferably at an agencyPassion for creating engaging social content inspired by current events and trendsExperience posting to client social accounts via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn. Bonus: TikTokDemonstrated use of social media publishing tool like Hootsuite, Sprout, Buffer, Later etc.Knowledge of designing assets for social media. Bonus: basic design capabilities using tools such as Canva, Bannersnack, Adobe Creative Suite, Animoto, etc.Knowledge of creative strategy behind channel usage (i.e. Facebook vs Instagram, or stories vs feed vs reels)Ability to respond appropriately and professionally to comments and messages on client social media channelsExperience in reporting on social media engagement and traffic metrics, and writing insights and takeawaysExperience with social media giveaways and contests with knowledge of legal requirementsAn interest and knowledge of brands and activities involving outdoors and recreation, i.e. trail running, hiking, snow sports, camping, climbingJob duties require flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekendsMust be a team player who can communicate professionally internally and externallyComfortable in a collaborative, team environment and receiving feedback and edits to social posts and planYour Responsibilities:Plan monthly and quarterly content calendars for organic social channels while working closely with designManage posts for all social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)Implement client edits and execute channel posts through approved platforms such as Sprout Social and LaterThink outside of the box when it comes to designing asset ideas for organic social channelsMeasure, analyze, and optimize organic social posts based on data metrics from social platforms and Google AnalyticsWork closely with email, website, and influencer teams to accomplish client goalsGive recommendations to account managers and clients based on data and insightsPlan and implement paid social campaigns through ad platforms and make optimizations and recommendations to client managerMonitor social community and manage commentsImplement growth and engagement strategy set forth by social media manager via appropriate platformsManage and explore influencer/content producer relationships with all platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tik Tok and emerging media
