Position Summary This position assists staff in the Eagle Pass Office(s) with technical support of desktop computers, web applications, and related technology. Support includes general computer troubleshooting; installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines; assistance with web mail and Microsoft Office products; and management of user accounts and card badges. Applicant will also assist in the maintenance and testing of network devices and associated equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assist staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software. Ensure desktop computers can access local area network items such as file servers, application servers, and administrative systems. Maintains local office IT inventory and notifies management when items need to be replaced or updated. Maintains network attached devices such as printers and conference phones. Maintains building's access control list. Troubleshoots computer hardware and peripheral devices and replaces when necessary. Troubleshoots basic network and browser issues and works with management to resolve them when necessary. Assists management with maintaining user accounts and access to network items. Maintains computer patches and updates on Desktop. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Microsoft Office Windows 10 Microsoft Outlook Computer user accounts and network access Chrome and Edge browsers including use of developer tools used for diagnosing problems. Results driven and has the desire to keep learning. Experience Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and diagnosing part(s) to be replaced if necessary. Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops. Experience troubleshooting browser, basic network, software, and printing problems, Customer Service Experience Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
