Job SummaryThe Cytotechnologist is responsible for performing microscopic examinations, providing final interpretations of normal gynecological specimens, providing initial interpretations of non-gynecological, FNA and abnormal gynecological specimens using standardized procedures; assisting in the collection and preparation of FNA and biopsy specimens for immediate evaluation; understanding method principles; performing quality control and quality assurance activities and evaluating results based on patient demographics and history.
