Power BI Responsibilities
BS or MS in computer science or information system along with work experience in a related fieldExperience in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projectsOver five years of experience working with the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS)Three to four years of experience with a self-service tool such as Power BI or TableauUnderstanding of JavaScript, CSS, SQL, and other JavaScript librariesRecognize business requirements in the context of BI and create data models to transform raw data into relevant insightsUsing Power BI, create dashboards and interactive visual reportsDefine key performance indicators (KPIs) with specific objectives and track them regularlyAnalyze data and display it in reports to aid decision-makingConvert business needs into technical specifications and establish a timetable for job completionCreate, test, and deploy Power BI scripts, as well as execute efficient deep analysisUse Power BI to run DAX queries and functionsCreate charts and data documentation with explanations of algorithms, parameters, models, and relationshipsConstruct a data warehouseUse SQL queries to get the best resultsMake technological adjustments to current BI systems to improve their performanceFor a better understanding of the data, use filters and visualizationsAnalyze current ETL procedures to define and create new systems
