This is a 260-days, Grade E-06,08,10, and 12 position.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIESPerforms analysis, design, development, implementation and management in a variety of areas and applications using computer systems and tools. Information Services systems responsibilities include:accounting, accounts payable, attendance, cafeteria, census, contract processing, grade reporting, payroll, personnel, student master files, scheduling, standardized questionnaires, summer school, testing, warehouse, and utility processing systems. Duties include assessing the impact of mandated changes making system and program changes, and delivering products in a timely manner.
SUPERVISIONWork is performed under the general direction of the Director, Information Services. Incumbents have considerable latitude for developing solutions to meet the information needs of APS. Incumbents are expected to exercise judgement and initiative in coordinating systems planning, project management and project implementation. Information System Analysts (ISA) at the II, III, and IV level assist in supervising the work of Information Systems Analysts at lower grades.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICSThis is a four level career ladder professional classification assigned to Information Services. Placement on and progression through the ladder is based on proficiency, training, regulations, and employment standards. Incumbents may be advanced non competitively to t he next level of the ladder after fulfillment of all career ladder advancement requirements, upon recommendation of the Director andapproval of the Personnel Services. Outside candidates, who are highly qualified as determined by Personnel Services, may be appointed directly to the II, III, or IV level.

CONTACTSThe work involves a wide range of contacts with employees and administrators throughout the school system and county government, bank and credit union personnel, hardware and software vendors, and external consultants. The purpose of the contacts includes coordinating client information services; coordinating systems planning, project management and project implementation; and serving as a technical authority and resource.RESPONSIBILITIES:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE CLASS (May not include all duties performed; not allincumbents perfor m all functions delineated)Provides quality control oversight for all Enterprise Solutions development; verifyes that customer needs and requirements have been met.
