PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. A reliable driver needs to transport items in a safe, timely manner, in conjunction with the customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loading, transporting, delivering and unloading items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely mannerReviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfiedAssisting with loading and unloading items from vehiclesCollecting payments for delivered items as neededProviding excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clientsAdhering to assigned routes and following time schedulesAbiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving recordPreparing reports and other documents relating to deliveriesOperating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.Any other related duties as assigned by the managementSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Extensive commercial driving experience with clean driving recordSpecial licenses may be required to operate certain vehiclesGood eyesight and hearingWillingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation lawsStrong time management and customer service skillsAbility to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended periodsAttention to detailEDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
High school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver's license issued by the state where you intend to work.WORK CONDITIONS:
