Position Overview:
A CDL Driver will drive a bus to transport personnel to and from various locations. The driver must account for each person picked up and dropped off. The driver is responsible for conducting preventative maintenance checks and performing basic maintenance.
Responsibilities:Ensures the assigned bus is in good working order, including conducting pre- and post-trip inspections on all equipment and clearly communicating any mechanical needs.Drives the assigned bus in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner.Adheres to prescribed routes.Ensures the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment for unloading passengers with special needs (i.e. wheelchair lifts and tie-downs)Strictly follows all Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance requirements.Communicates effectively with the Transportation Manager, as appropriate.Immediately reports any incidents or claims to the Transportation Manager.Refuels and maintains bus equipment and maintains assigned fuel use logs.Always maintains a clean work environment, cleaning assigned bus after each shift.Required Qualifications:
Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement required.Must be 21 years of age.Current DOT physical.Knowledge of DOT regulations including maintaining logs and pre and post trip inspections and equipment maintenance.Maintain all DOT requirements throughout the year.Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and complete other physical tasks.Must be able to pass a company background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.Must be able to pass a drug test, to the extent permitted by law.Must meet client suitability.Must abide by all Company policies.Preferred Qualifications:

Bus Drivers may be exposed to a wide variety of environmental conditions including, but not limited to: working outdoors, excessive heat/cold, constant noise, slippery or uneven walking surfaces, working around moving objects or vehicles, shifts lasting eight or more hours while working alone, frequent, close contact with members of the public, potential threats or security risks, whether physical or verbal, and construction environment and associated hazards.
Physical Demands:
Bus Drivers may be required to stand or sit for long periods time and walk moderate distances. Bus drivers may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds and operate specialized lifts / ramps.
