Job Summary
The job of School Van Driver is done for the purpose(s) of transporting students in a passenger van over assigned routes; ensuring vehicle operation is in a safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from van.
This posting is also for those who wish to be trained as a School Bus Driver. VCPUSD provides training for School Bus Certification. Bus Driver Trainees can sub as a School Van Driver during the training process.
The job reports to the Director of Transportation.
Requirements / Qualifications
Please note that this posting is to establish a qualified substitute pool. Substitutes are used on an on-call basis, and no particular hours or locations are guaranteed.
Job related experience is required. Must possess a High School Diploma, a Valid CA Driver's License, Evidence of Insurability, and First Aid & CPR Certification
Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District trains those who wish to become a Bus Driver. Bus Driver "trainees" can sub as School Van Driver while being trained to be a School Bus Driver.

Please keep in mind that a pre-employment fingerprint clearance, drug screening, medical exam, and a tuberculosis clearance is required prior to beginning work. The cost of the fingerprint process (Approx $76) will be the responsibility of the applicant.
