PROCUREMENT & SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST: $60-80K
The Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for sourcing good, materials and services at competitive prices and complete ERP system management for purchasing and inventory.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifying and leading analysis to support data-driven decisions about supply chain risk and vendor performance.
Developing effective relationships with key suppliers that reflect both a customer and vendor perspective.
Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Obtaining and providing a detailed assessment of quotes to drive supplier selection for MRO and production supplies.
Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
Interface with Operations, Customer Service, Sales and Engineering
Directs materials planning for made & purchased items based on production demand. Includes use of MRP, as well as determination of appropriate target stock levels, where necessary, based on historical consumption or usage forecasts.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred
3 – 5 years of supply chain and inventory management and sourcing experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
ERP experience plus data and reporting proficiency
A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies
Sound time-management and organizational skills
Demonstrate high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures, test results and processes both internally and externally
Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
