Job Summary
Bus drivers safely transport students to and from a variety of school sites. Employees in this classification receive general supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures. This Job class is responsible for ensuring the safety of all passengers including special education students while operating the assigned bus, and for ensuring the assigned bus is in a safe operating condition at all times.
Under supervision of a Supervisor of Maintenance, Operations and Transportation, performs a variety of general cleaning tasks and/or assist in the preparation and serving of food in an assigned school, perform routine grounds maintenance, and gardening work.
Requirements / Qualifications•Valid Class B California Driver License•Valid California School Bus Certificate DL 45•Safe driving record which meets the County Office of Education's insurance requirements•Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate DL 51a•High School Diploma•Experience preferred•Completed application•Other documents may be requested
