Administrative Assistant

Perform all administrative support duties required for the position for the Chief Learning Officer (Principal), under the direct supervision of the Chief Learning Officer. This position requires knowledge of The Academy of Scholars procedures, policies, mission, and vision; the ability to assume responsibility, work effectively and independently under pressure and maintain confidentiality.Duties:Prepare and distribute agendas for meetingsPerform a variety of clerical dutiesConduct phone calls and compose communicationsMaintain confidentiality of all sensitive informationMaintain databasesProvide first aid to students as neededAssure the timely distribution of a variety of reportsSchedule appointments, meetings, and conferences; maintain various schedules and calendarsProvide input on improving efficiencies and policies on an ongoing basisConduct research as requestedMonitor schools online presenceMaintain records of professional development hours for facultyModel the mission, philosophy and goals of the school to all staff, parents, students, and the community**Other duties as assigned**QualificationsBachelor's Degree or at least 3 years equivalent work experience in an administrative support role, preferably at the executive levelFluent in use of MS Office applications and all Google Suite applicationsExperience working in a school or as a professional secretary for a law or accounting office a plusExcellent proofreading, writing and verbal skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously with many interruptionsAbility to prioritize well and to work efficiently under pressureAbility to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal directionAbility to handle confidential matters with discretionSkill in managing a complex calendarStrong interpersonal skills; punctual and dependable***All interested applicants must submit a video introducing themselves and telling why they are the best candidate for the position.
