(Company) needs 20 temporary Drivers Ready Mixed from 04/01/2022 11/30/2022 for work at various worksites in Platte, Polk, York, Fillmore, Colfax, Butler, Seward, Saline, Dodge, Saunders, Lancaster, Gage, Washington, Douglas, Sarpy, Cass, Otoe, Howard, Hall, Adams, Nance, Merrick, Hamilton, Clay, Thayer, Jefferson, Johnson, Pawnee, Nemaha, and Richardson counties in Nebraska. Work is full-time; MondayFriday; 7:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.; at least 40 hrs/week; Company uses a single workweek as the standard for computing wages due; workers paid once every week. Pay is at least $26.01/hr - $30.11/hr (higher rates possible based on experience or skill) with applicable benefits. Workers are eligible for overtime pay of at least $39.02/hr - $45.17/hr, equal to one and one-half times the regular hourly rate for all hours over 40 in a given workweek, which may be available based on weather conditions and business needs (historic average is approximately 12 hours per week in peak of busy season). If requested by workers, Company will assist with securing adequate housing for the temporary season plus utilities in employer-owned and/or employer-rented housing at a rate of approximately $138.56 per person per pay period. Company will make all deductions from the workers paycheck required by law, plus $138.56 per person per pay period for housing expenses for employees who choose them.Job duties include the following: Drives a transit mixer truck equipped with auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix and other related construction products to job sites. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Daily perform a pre and post-trip safety check on equipment and the truck to assure a safe vehicle. Document any maintenance that may be required. Back or drive truck under loading hopper, Prepare mixer to receive concrete. Follows guidelines and instructions by dispatch personnel. Drives truck to designated job site for unloading. Must distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions at the job site, in traffic and throughout plant areas. Assembles concrete chute and attaches chute to the back of the truck. Controls appropriate levers on truck to discharge concrete according to specifications from the contractor into a wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with concrete. If appropriate, wash out truck at the job site and replace chute on truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck. Sprays surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete as needed. Perform minor maintenance to the assigned vehicle--tire pressure, oil change, lube job--as needed. When the workload is light, assist other areas--repair/maintenance in the plant area, yard clean-up, pallet repair and other duties as assigned.Company will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job to workers at no charge. The costs of transportation (including subsistence and, to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment will be reimbursed upon arrival (subject to repayment to Company if the workers do not complete at least one-half of the employment period). Company will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, that are actually incurred by the workers (other than those fees primarily for the benefit of the workers). Upon completion of the work contract or where a worker is dismissed earlier, Company will provide or pay for the workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $13.17/day during travel to a maximum of $55.00/day with receipts. Normal work-related travel within normal commuting distance / area of intended employment as necessary based on business needs; daily transportation to individual worksites may be provided depending on location. Company guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Must have a Class B CDL or ability to obtain one upon commencement of employment.
