Our wholesale distribution client is seeking a Delivery Driver / Material Handler to be responsible for loading trucks and delivering products in company trucks to local customers. The ideal candidate will have experience loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near yards, shops, and/or warehouses. If this sounds like you, get in touch with us today!
Delivery Driver / Material Handler responsibilities
Load truck and deliver products daily.Follow written and oral instructions as given.Operate loading and unloading equipment (fork truck, pallet jack, hand, etc.) in a safe and responsible manner.Verify material receipts against vendor pack lists by physical count by sight and/or measurement. Verify and/or report conditions of all received product.Turn paperwork into receiving personnel, noting any discrepancies as found.Stage material receipts in designated area(s) for proper identification labeling prior to movement to storage racks, saw, or shop areas. Store items based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.Keep yard areas clean, organized, and free of trash and clutter.Provide courteous and professional service during customer or vendor interactions.Delivery Driver / Material Handler education and/or experience
1+ Years previous forklift experience (sit-down type: Class I, IV, V, or VII) in a similar warehouse or shop environment.Class A Driver's LicenseHigh school diploma or GED preferred and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
