Job Summary

Provide diagnostic and surgical services to the patients of CAMC and its affiliates per the terms of the contract.

Responsibilities• To provide care to CAMC patients in the field of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery in compliance with the highest standards of medical art and science, and within the ethical standards of conduct as applies to such relationships. Such care will be delivered in the appropriate setting and coordinated with the staff present at each site, The physician will take the lead in all patient care issues and will be ultimately responsible for the outcome of the encounter. • Maintain and document all required education, license renewals and board recertifications. • Demonstrate positive customer and patient services and co-workers relations. • Comply with the company's attendance policy. • Actively participate in the continuous quality improvement and performance improvement activities of the department and institution. • Perform the assigned duties in a cost efficient manner. • Conform to all departmental pay and scheduling policies, including but not limited to: on-call duties. • Perform work in compliance with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization. • Adhere to all applicable organizational and departmental policies and procedures. • With regard to issues of clinical practice the physician with will report to the departmental medical director; in all other matters he will report to the clinic/department administrator, if other than the medical director. • Adhere to all Policy and Procedure pertaining to Compliance including documentation and coding accuracy. • Actively engage in adoption and deployment of technology. • Participate in the Oncology Committee, Tumor Board and any other oncology committee as needed. • Employee will maintain active status (category l) with regards to clinical privileges at CAMC. • Must be able to relate appropriately with patients, staff, corporate management, medical staff and co-workers. Managed care knowledge helpful. Must be a team player. Must remain current in medical/surgical knowledge as well as applicable legal and regulatory issues.
