Must have in his/her possession a valid Washington State Drivers License.2. Must take and pass Salvation Armys Drivers Training and Testing Program.3. Must have a safe driving record as evidenced by a copy of State of Washington driving record for the past 5 years. Must be 21 or older, mature and responsible.4. A current first aid and CPR card.5. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with other staff and to the general public.6. Ability to work within The Salvation Army organization and carry out the policies and procedures of the organization.7. Must be able to lift 50 lb.**SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**1. Drive on a regular basis for the food bank. Pick up donated food and transport to food bank and Senior Center. Inventory food and assist with bringing food up for distribution. See to proper storage of perishables.2. Driver must be in appropriate uniform/TSA logo wear gear.3. Maintain Target inventory list and keep donation area sorted and organized.2. Maintain mileage log as required by the accounting office.3. Maintain vehicles in a clean and sanitary fashion. Vehicles are to always be fueled up, washed, vacuumed, and cleaned from the inside.4. Alert Business Manager of any needed repairs to vehicles.4. Drive for other programs when and if necessary. Any additional tasks as assigned.5. Make sure that vehicle is locked and secured in the parking lot when driving job is finished.6. Haul cardboard to recycler as needed.7. Haul donations to thrift store as needed.8. Responsible for cleaning and upkeeping trash debris around the dock entrance and trash area.9. Sweep and mop food pantry. Mop up spills immediately.10. Warehouse must always be maintained (at least once a week), sweep, mop, trash taken out, organized, and preventing pile ups. All programs at the White Center Corps Community Center are an extension of The Salvation Armys evangelistic purpose as a branch of the Protestant Church and the ultimate goal of all of our programs is the Spiritual Regeneration of all people. Philosophy development comes from The Salvation Army and the Commanding Officer in conjunction with various advisory groups. Policy and procedural changes must have the approval of the Commanding Officer.**The Salvation Army will comply with all governmental orders and any contractual obligations relative to COVID-19 safety measures, including mandatory vaccination of staff, if required. The Salvation Army will consider requests for exemptions from any such requirements on either religious or medical grounds.****Once a conditional offer has been made and then accepted by the applicant, The Salvation Army may then ask specific questions about vaccination status, if applicable.
