The Jewish Community Center Sonoma County (JCC So Co) is a Jewish Community Center without walls committed to providing cultural, educational, social, recreational, and spiritual opportunities for a deeper commitment to, and greater participation in, Jewish life in Sonoma County and the North Bay. JCC So Co is dedicated to creating a vibrant, inclusive, diverse Jewish community. We are known for our quality programs for seniors (Friendship Circle) and youth (Camp Chai), and for our film series (Jewish and Israeli Film Festivals).
Film Festival Job Overview
The JCC seeks a Film Festival Program Manager to handle all aspects of the Jewish Film Festivals, a recurring bi-annual in person and streaming program, which runs during the Fall and Spring months. Hybrid positioncombination of remote and in office work.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Festival Manager is expected to:
recruit, work with and manage Film Festival committee volunteers and work closely with the committee chair person oversee film selection manage all aspects of budget manage all aspects of publicity and marketing manage all aspects of necessary fundraising and donor relations manage all aspects of customer service negotiate with film distributors work with theater management and streaming platform Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements
The successful candidate will enjoy performing a variety of tasks, have a love of Jewish films, be flexible, be able to see a big picture as well as focus on detail, enjoy working with the public, and have the ability to keep the program on its timeline.
Qualifications
knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, holiday observance good working knowledge of social media Strong written and oral communication skills Good soft skills: ability to engage, train, motivate collaborate and direct a team of volunteers MS Word, Excel Bachelors degree preferred Hours are 25 per week, compensation commensurate with experience.
