We are seeking bus drivers to transport our students to and from the program for six weeks during the summer.Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, bus drivers have the primary responsibility for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of the children, staff, and volunteers during bus transportation to and from the program and on field trips. The bus driver is expected to maintain order and discipline on the bus and make note of any behavioral or disciplinary problems. It is also the role of the bus driver to guarantee that the bus is clean and in proper working condition at all times, follow safe and efficient bus routes, and maintain all transportation records required by The Lovett School and Breakthrough Atlanta.Transportation must be in accordance with state traffic and safety regulations, The Lovett School, and Breakthrough Atlanta.**Note: COVID19 required guidelines will be practiced. Social distancing, regular sanitizing, facial masks will be required.****Position Requirements:*** High school diploma or GED required.* Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL).* A valid Georgia drivers license is required.* Must pass seven-year DMV motor vehicle record check.* Must be able to comply with background check as required by The Lovett School.* Must pass drug test. The Lovett School/Breakthrough Atlanta is a drug-free environment.**Experience:*** Successful experience as a school bus driver preferred.* Must be 25 years or older.**Additional Requirements*** Ability to present a positive image of the organization to members of the community* Must be able to physically move through the bus* Ability to perform responsibilities under pressure and in cases of accidents or other emergencies.* Successful experience working as an effective member of a team desirable.**Program Dates:**Monday through Friday; June 14, 2021 July 23, 2021(Closed July 5, 2021 for the Fourth of July holiday)**Pay Rate:**$19.00 per hour based on experience levelThis is a split shift with morning and afternoon hours.
