This individual uses our company vehicle to make daily deliveries to our guests and brings sample cakes to area businesses so they can learn about all the Joy we have to offer at our bakeries!
This individual organizes delivery orders, checking them for accuracy, then loads and delivers following a specific route. After deliveries are completed, the Delivery Driver Brings Joy to area businesses through cake samples, educating people about our programs and product offerings, reviewing and leaving literature, and capturing contact and follow-up information.
The Delivery Driver assists in setting up and working at offsite events. This individual will also receive training as a Guest Services Representative.
In addition to regular hourly pay, this role features unlimited bonus/commission opportunities!
Required Work Availability:
This role typically operates Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, however the role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on changing business demands.
Accountabilities/Duties:
Loading, transporting, and delivering items to guests or businesses in a safe, timely manner with a friendly attitudeReviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and guests are highly satisfiedEngaging with area businesses by bringing sample cakes to their offices, discussing available options, and capturing relevant information for follow-up from our teamProtecting the quality of the NbC productAdhering to assigned routes and following time schedulesAbiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving recordKeeping vehicle organized, clean, and tidyComplying with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygieneMaintaining a consistent attendance and punctuality recordRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exhibits high energy and strong interpersonal skills; is friendly, helpful, positive, patient, socially confident, and communicativeIs diligent, organized, and self-motivatedHas the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when neededSkilled and confident driverComfortable maneuvering and parking a vehicleAlert, focused, and detail-oriented with an innate sense of directionProficient in using GPS and other routing systemsComfortable using computers and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Education, Certifications, and Work Experience Requirements:
Applicants must be 21 years of age or olderValid driver's license requiredClean driving record with no moving violationsMust possess their own vehicle to get to workCompensation and other Sweet Perks:
$11.00 per hour minimum to start based on experience, availability, and other criteriaBonus for every delivery made when basic expectations are metCommissions earned at offsite eventsMileage reimbursed at IRS level (when using personal vehicle)Monthly performance bonusesEmployee discounts
Note: Applicants must meet our insurance requirements. An official driving record will be obtained from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and reviewed before a position will be offered. All drivers will be required to submit to alcohol/drug testing at the company's request.
Compensation: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
