The Laborist Practice at Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) is seeking a full time nocturnist OB/GYN physicians to grow their team. Pennsylvania Hospital is the premier hospital in the area for obstetric care located at 8th and Spruce Streets in the historic Society Hill district of Philadelphia. PAH is the nation's first hospital has been a leader in patient care, treatment techniques and medical research for over 260 years. This established team of laborists consists of six core physician FTE's.
The primary role of the nocturnist will be to oversee residents in a busy OB triage unit and assist residents with GYN ER consults and any emergent GYN procedures/surgeries. The nocturnist will also participate on Labor and Delivery by performing c-sections and vaginal deliveries as dictated by L&D volume and acuity. There will always be two additional OB/GYN attendings, as well as a midwife, on L&D at any given time working alongside the Nocturnist creating a collaborative work environment. The schedule will consist of three, twelve-hour shifts per week.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician, with a current state and DEA license.
