Overhire House Managers work as assigned on a per service basis for various events and performances in Juilliard's public venues. Supervise Front of House staff at events. Responsible for the enforcement of house policies and procedures, and comfort and safety of the patrons. Works with the Juilliard staff to understand and manage an event from beginning to end.
The rate for this role is $25/hour.

Role Responsibilities:Interface with Box Office, Stage Management, Public Safety, etc, to run events.Direct the staff to prepare venues: setting ADA seats, posting signs, distributing programs, stuffing programs, etc.Manage all student ushers and overhire Captains.Maintain proper paperwork per event (Usher Sign In Sheet, HM Report, etc).Assist all patrons, including those with disabilities.Seat patrons in proper seats.Solve seating problems and discrepancies.Answer patrons' questions.Enforce theater rules and policies.Late seat audience members.Be proactive in recognizing potential situations and diffuse any conflicts that may arise.Maintain a safe environment for all patrons and convey concerns to Public Safety/Facilities and/or Juilliard Staff.Know the proper procedures and routes of evacuation for any emergency situation.Minimum Requirements:
Basic understanding of Musical and Theatrical Production needs, with experience in the field of the Performing Arts.Able to work evenings and weekends.Must possess leadership qualities, able to supervise others and assume a position of authority.Good organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to last minute changes.Must be able to handle crisis situations.Preferred Background:
House Management experience.Familiarity with stage management and back stage procedures.Training in Adult CPR and First Aid.
