Salary/Hours:Pay scale: $18.00/hourPosition Length:JOB SUMMARY:
The Substitute Bus Driver will operate a school bus for the purpose of safely transporting students to and from school.
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
Prefer a high school diploma or equivalentMust be able to speak, read, write, and understand English; Spanish language proficiency a plusMust be eligible for CDL-B with P and S (passenger and school bus) endorsements and completion of MPCS school bus driver training.Able to meet all driving record, physical, CPR certification requirements, drug/alcohol testing and background investigations that are required by the Manassas Park City Schools and the Commonwealth of VirginiaWilling and able to work 6:00 a.m. until assignment is completed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have the ability to effectively communicate and interact with other staff and the public through theuse of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment such as, but not limited to, a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. Some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions will be required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
