Education Unlimited® provides academic summer camps & pre-college summer programs for students entering grades 4-12. Our summer programs include public speaking camps, college admissions prep programs, science camps, summer acting camp, writing camps, computer camp, leadership camp, video production camp, and college tours.
Assistant Director/Resident Advisor positions include on-campus housing and meals in the university dining hall.
Job Description:
The Assistant Director serves as the Camp Director's right hand and is generally in charge of helping to create a positive camp environment for all participants. The AD position is an optimal starting point for any individual eventually interested in filling the Camp Director position. The AD plans and implements recreational activities for the campers supervises campers outside of the classroom (including evening supervision, enforcing lights out, walking students to classes etc.), and has a variety of administrative duties based on the needs of the director. Examples of administrative tasks include returning parent phone calls, running errands, copying/filing, fulfilling instructor supply requests, and being on-call and willing to help out wherever help is needed. AD applicants must be mature, enthusiastic, responsible, reliable, and able to engage students of all ages. ADs are also expected to act as mentors and will help lead field trips and guide students on excursions. With the support of the entire staff, ADs are responsible for the health and safety of students, in addition to fulfilling instructional objectives.
Dates:
Camp sessions begin June 16th and end August 3rd. Sessions are 1 week each, please list availability on form attached.
Locations:Georgetown, UCLA, Berkeley, and UCLA.

This is a residential position - room and board are provided for the duration of the program, and residential staff must share supervision duties at night. Assistant Directors may be hired for one week or several weeks. Please indicate your availability on your application.
