These are just some of the benefits attributed to improved water quality — and among the many rewards of a water resources career at AKRF, where we deliver integrated water solutions through smart science, creative problem solving, and the design of sustainable, resilient infrastructure.AKRF, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager/Senior Water Resources Engineer in our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office location, to support green infrastructure, climate adaptation, urban flood resiliency, stormwater management, and stream and floodplain restoration projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.Job Responsibilities :Provide project and technical management of major engineering design projects including site layout, grading, stormwater management, drainage/conveyance system design, and related supporting disciplines.Act as client service manager and/or project manager for existing AKRF water resources projects in Pittsburgh and throughout the region.Direct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses in connection with stormwater management, stream restoration, and flood mitigation planning projects.Lead the development of construction documents and specifications for stormwater management, urban flood resiliency, and stream restoration projects.Support related research, operations and maintenance, asset management, regulatory compliance, and program development tasks to supplement core engineering assignments.Managing and updating task budgets and schedules.Preparing technical proposals.Essential Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.8+ years of experience in the fields of urban green stormwater infrastructure, water/sewer linear infrastructure, wet weather planning/management, stream restoration, ecosystem restoration, climate adaptation planning or related disciplines, with an emphasis on design and planning work.Pennsylvania P.E. or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.Experience conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using SWMM, Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis, HydroCAD, and HEC-RAS strongly preferred.Desire a mix of office and field work with occasional regional travel.Experience using AutoCAD strongly preferred – knowledge of Autodesk Civil3D pipe network and corridor modeling is a plus.Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a penchant for innovative approaches to problem solving.Experience integrating geospatial data/GIS in the infrastructure planning and design workflow is a plus.AKRF, Inc. enforces a policy of equal employment opportunity in our daily operations.
