SQL Data Analyst (Healthcare)

Location:

Hybrid - minimum 2 days/week onsite in San Diego, CA

Skills / Experience

Ideal candidate has 4 - 10 years' experience in Data Analysis - data migration, data handling, data analysis, data entry, data integrityExperience working with Data in a healthcare environment (or EHR / EMR systems)Database Tools: Strong experience in Microsoft SQL, including developmentReporting Tools: SSRS, PowerBI, ExcelBroad knowledge of healthcare technology, and specific knowledge of complexities of integrating enterprise clinical systems and health recordsExperience as a Data Analyst working with health information, preferably in support of clinical data systemsSolid understanding of information exchange systems and data handling in the government compliance context, preferably those system exchanging or aggregating clinical dataBroad knowledge of the regulatory environment related to clinical systems and electronic health record implementations, including Joint Commission, OSHPD, HIPAA and an expert understanding of best practices for standards compliance.Ability to understand clinical and business problems from multiple perspectives and manage the implementation of a solution that completely and correctly addresses the problem with a constant focus on patient care and population health.Ability to contribute to the validation/evaluation of whether a clinical or business information system or operational architecture meets business and clinical needsAbility to develop functional and technical specifications and other deliverables that map clinical and business requirements into complete information systems addressing the technology, process, and people dimensions of operational solutionsAbility to perform business process analysis/synthesis using modeling or simulation tools and techniques, such as workflows and diagrams to show interrelationships of multiple processes while tracking instances and characteristics of process elementsAbility to systematically gather, assess and apply critical technical and operational information for clinical and business decisionsSoft Skills

Excellent speaking and writing skills with proven capability to represent complex data concepts and constraints to executive leadership and non-clinicians, including information technology staffNICE TO HAVE
