As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.Job Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.Works with an existing development team to create the new Hadoop-based platform and migrates the existing data platforms to Cloud using many tools including Sqoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka, Streaming, SQL, Python, Java, etc.Designs, develops, implements and supports the platform.Develops and tests new interfaces, enhancements/changes to existing interfaces, new data structures, new reporting capabilities, and enhances ETL pipelines and design solutions.Handles Dev Ops efforts in terms of CICD, Scanning, Code, Performance testing and Test coverage.Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets and transforms existing ETL logic into AWS and Hadoop Platform.Innovates new ways of managing, transforming and validating data, establishes and enforces guidelines to ensure consistency, quality and completeness of data assets.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.Practical cloud native experience.Demonstrated experience with AWS, Python and ETL development.Experience with Big Data Technologies such as Sqoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka.Experience with data analysis, data modeling, data engineering, and experience working with tools and databases such as SQL and Oracle.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

Experience in Snowflake.Experience with Visualization (Qlik/Tableau).
