Job Description:
Our cybersecurity engineering team is rapidly growing, and we are in search of a
Cybersecurity Engineer
to join us. At Bluestaq, a Cybersecurity Engineer is crucial for safeguarding our systems and data. The ideal Engineer will be a professional with a talent for cybersecurity methodologies and a passion for innovative security solutions. You will protect our infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
Cybersecurity Engineer Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
Identify, define, and implement system security requirements and standards.
Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
Develop technical solutions and new security tools to mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
Conduct vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
Manage network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
Analyze security systems logs and identify potential issues with computer systems.
Update and upgrade security systems as needed.
Provide technical advice and support on security issues to other team members.
Collaborate with colleagues on authentication, authorization, and encryption solutions.
Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.
Cybersecurity Engineer Qualifications:
CISSP certification.
Profound knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and standards such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001.
Automation tools such as
Ansible, Terraform , and
Packer .
Proficient in operating systems including Linux and Windows.
Strong understanding of network technologies and security configurations, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS.
Familiarity with cloud security, compliance standards, and AWS environments.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to articulate complex security issues.
IAT Level II/III certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications like CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
CompTIA Security+.
Scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Cloud identity and access management tools.
Automation tools such as
Ansible, Terraform , and
Packer .
Cybersecurity Engineer
Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $85,000 - $111,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
Required Education: 1+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Staff
Cybersecurity Engineer
Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $112,000 - $142,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
Required Education: 8+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Principal
Cybersecurity Engineer
Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $190,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
Required Education: 12+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor of Science degree OR Associate degree with 2 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years of experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Clearance Requirement:
This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check.
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
