Position Description PIMCO is seeking an Associate to join its Client Solutions group. This group leverages PIMCO's intellectual capital and resources to help our clients make better investment decisions. This position will work closely with the Defined Contribution (DC) Solutions team to oversee PIMCO's target date and retirement income offerings and assist in broader retirement initiatives, including business oversight of PIMCO's Collective Investment Trusts (CITs).
The Associate will assist Strategists in the group in client servicing, business management, and product development, including:
Responsibilities: Responding to ad hoc inquiries related to PIMCO's DC Solutions and broader DC efforts, both externally (clients) and internally across groups Managing research projects related to competitors and industry topics Creating content relevant to key messaging for the strategies by type of client, as well as maintaining marketing and other general education materials Contributing to new business development including RFP reviews, and creation of pitch-books and other strategy marketing materials Performing detailed portfolio risk and performance attribution to combine with economic commentary for ongoing monthly/quarterly reporting to investors Helping set and execute team priorities, leading projects, and mentoring junior colleagues Assisting in the development of new products and custom solutions for clients Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related disciplines 2-3 years of professional related experience Strong quantitative/analytical skills Strong production and results orientation Strong oral and written skills (i.e. the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and succinctly) Well organized with ability to handle multiple projects - high energy level/self-starter Ability to work professionally in an individual and team environment with all levels of personnel Strong project management skills and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines Intellectually curious with an enthusiasm for the financial markets and business planning Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; reasonable proficiency with Bloomberg and other index provider systems preferred Desired Skills:
Solid financial markets (equities, fixed income, and alternatives) knowledge base Experience and interest in the defined contribution industry a plus PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 105,000.00 - $ 115,000.00
