Senior Manager

Our ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for excellence by taking pride in a quality work product and delivering legendary service to our clients while investing in relationships with their Saltmarsh family and clients alike.As a Senior Manager you are responsible for overall management of the Client Accounting & Advisory (CAAS) practice including supervision and scheduling of staff, calculating pricing proposals and managing the practices budget. You will also be responsible for the practices overall client portfolio and delivering an exceptional client experience in line with the firm’s core values.Additionally, the Senior Manager is a part of the firms leadership team.
Responsibilities:Develop and manage practice budget, anticipate and communicate budget issues, identify opportunities to improve engagement profitability and assist with billingManaging the CAAS personnel includes oversight of the hiring process, ensuring team is properly trained and annual performance evaluations are completed timelyUtilize technology to streamline processes and recommend areas for increased client efficiency and reduction in operating costsSkilled in functionality and compliance of accounting software utilized by clientsDevelop and maintain technical knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations as it pertains to accounting servicesProvide clients with a well-developed strategic plan to execute their financial goals and optimize profitabilityParticipate in business development and identify opportunities to cross-sell value-added services to clientsMeet with prospective clients, prepare proposals, and follow up on referrals to determine the need for CAAS servicesEstablish the practice’s objectives, revenue, client and staff projections and identify opportunities to improve engagement profitabilityTimely completes billing and monitors KPI’s for the practiceActs as a Career Coach to staff, provides verbal and written performance feedback, and aids with goal settingOversee client service assignments and monitor completion of work deliverablesRequirementsBachelor’s in Accounting or Business Administration required.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred7+ years of hands-on accounting experience with a large local, regional or national public accounting firm preferredPrior supervisory experience requiredStrong knowledge in accounting principles and practices and a growing knowledge of firm products and services within CAASAble to anticipate problems/barriers and help develop plans to address themDeliver legendary service by making each interaction with our audit clients stand outEstablish personal and networking relationships with clients, prospects, and referral sources through active involvement in industry, civic, and social clubsShare knowledge with others to facilitate skill development and career advancementBuild and lead a team effectively to cultivate an environment of trust, respect, and fairnessGreat project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsThorough knowledge and understanding of tools, systems and processes and their practical applicationsSolid technical knowledge in accounting and business management software; e.g., QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online (Enterprise, Premier, etc), and Financial Cents are strongly preferredExperience with Xero, Sage, Intacct and Bill.com would be idealBenefits:
