Position SummaryThe Project Manager provides project management oversight on transportation projects with a team of engineers. The Project Manager acts as a project lead with complete responsibility for design and/or construction of transportation, civil, and municipal engineering projects including coordination, certification, management and client relations for government clients including the Colorado Department of Transportation, Denver DPW, and various cities and counties. Responsible for productivity of project team and ensures projects are on time and on budget. Mentors and develops less experienced engineers and/or technical support and assists in developing a solid team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and monitor project budgets, scopes, and schedules.Deliver quality projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client for projects assigned as Project Manager.Perform internal quality control to ensure designs, plans and calculations are complete and accurate through all phases of design and plan production.Supervise, motivate and develop junior staff in design, communication, and project management practices.Perform technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.Serve as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.Provide engineering design and supervision for a variety of highway design and civil design projects including, but not limited to: new roadway design, roadway reconstruction and expansion, intersection improvements, ADA improvements, storm drainage, site civil projects, and maintenance/asset management projects.Perform and oversee Microstation and AutoCAD processes including 3D corridor modeling.Assist Senior Project Managers in a variety of project administrative duties.Prepare and facilitate project progress reports and invoices.Participate in business development activities, assisting in RFQ responses and technical proposals/presentations.Education and/or ExperienceA bachelor of science degree in civil engineering8 years minimum experience serving clients on a wide variety of transportation projects, including CDOT and or CCDPE LicenseWe are an equal opportunity employer and believe diversity makes teams better.
